ML, 63/F, diabetic, with a large, infected, non-healing ulcer on her proximal leg.

Updated: Dec 31, 2020

This wound started as a small blister on her leg that rapidly progressed into a large, infected wound. Wound debridement was done which managed to control the infection. However, the wound edges continued to necrose and the wound continued to enlarge. Wound care with Daikin's solution and povidone-iodine proved to be not effective.

At Hilom, ultrasound assisted debridement was done with Prontosan every session and the wound responded very well to the treatment. We managed to heal this wound completely in 2 months.
